RETRUN TO

Natural Park

Visitor Center "Viñas de Peñallana"

Information point

Before setting out to visit this Natural Park, it is highly recommended to visit the Visitor Center Viñas de Peñallana, where they will provide us with all the information we need, or we can hire a guided tour of it.

In this Center we can find a first approximation to the different sites of the environment and the multitude of living beings that inhabit them. As if a portion of the natural park had been removed, in this center, visitors can feel its morphology or walk through a recreated Mediterranean forest where they can identify plant species and their aromas or discover their inhabitants in a fun way. Numerous threatened emblematic species find refuge in these mountains; This is the case of the Iberian wolf, whose den is faithfully reproduced.

The same goes for the Iberian lynx. Its traces will lead the user to discover its habitat and behavior, as well as the problems that make it the most threatened feline on the planet.
In this center you can also learn about the way of life of its inhabitants, its historical evolution and how a harmonious exploitation of resources allows the conservation of valuable environments such as the mountains of Andújar.

In the city of Andújar you can also obtain information about the Park at the Municipal Tourism Office or at the Information Point of the Cercado del Cipres Forest Park
